Democratic Republic of Congo’s first family have returned on their round of leisurely trips with the president Félix Tshisekedi currently in Davos, Switzerland.
Tshisekedi’s has chosen to take his family on a vacation in the wake of renewed and intense fighting in the eastern region of North Kivu.
While he attends irrelevant forum in Switzerland, Tshisekedi’s currently wife, the first lady Denise Nyakeru is currently in Dubai where she is meeting her uncle’s daughter who gave birth.
Over the weekend, Tshisekedi will join his wife in South Africa to celebrate his son, Christian’s birthday.
Meanwhile, the M23 rebels and Corneille Nangaa have continued to progress in North Kivu and further extended their control into South Kivu Province.
