While country currently faces a plethora of problems including the severe war, worst hunger situation and economic challenges, senior government officials in the Félix Tshisekedi government still afford to be extravagant and waste government resources.
Former rebel leader and current deputy Prime Minister of Transport and Communications Jean-Pierre Bemba has had millions of public funds used to transform his late father, Bemba Saolana’s house which he has now turned into an office for his Ministry.
Bemba who was transferred to the Ministry of Transport earlier this year, had refused to work at the official office of the Ministry in the government smart building.
He had refused to work at the government building as he did not want to be mixed with other Ministers given his status and influence in Tshisekedi’s cabinet.
