WAGES OF SIN: Public Prosecutor Prescribes Death Sentence For Tshisekedi’s Thug After Attacks at Kabila’s Residence

The Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation in the DR Congo have requested for the death penalty to be handed to leader of the bandits from the ruling UDPS party for breaking into former President Joseph Kabila’s family residence in Kinshasa last week.

The bandits from the UDPS grouping called “Forces du progrès” who are sponsored by dictator president Félix Tshisekedi, attempted to assassinate Kabila’s wife Mama Olive Lembe before the authorities intervened.

In its indictment made at the hearing on Thursday, August 8, 2024, the Public Prosecutor requested the death penalty for criminal association against gang leader of the Forces du progrès, only identified as Ngandu.

Other defendants have been handed sentences such as 5 years of penal servitude for arbitrary arrest and illegal detention, 10 years of penal servitude for using children in various forms of crime, the death penalty for attempted murder, 5 years of penal servitude for malicious destruction, 20 years of penal servitude for theft with violence and robbery, etc.

Tshisekedi has waged war against Kabila whom he accuses of being behind the ongoing war in the east while the honorary former President has remain silent to the atrocities and attacks against him and his family.
