From the time Zoe Kabila, the younger brother of DRC’s former president Joseph Kabila, was stripped of his title as governor of the Tanganyika Province, in Katanga by the province’s assembly as engineered by President Félix Tshisekedi in 2021, the local administration has not known any sanity.
Unlike his 25 or so counterparts, Zoe refused to join President Tshisekedi’s “Union Sacrée” political alliance, which was aimed at weakening former president Kabila.
Also ousted similar fashion was Lualaba governor Richard Muyej Mangez.
Zoe was replaced by UDPS official Julie Ngungwa Mwayuma while Fifi Masuka took over from the perceived Kabila loyalist, Muyej.
In the Provincial Assembly of Tanganyika, only chaos has prevailed under the vision of the
Tshisekedi.
They have failed to achieve any meaningful process.
