Mining machinery worth millions of dollars allegedly owned by some Lebanese nationals working with President Felix Tshisekedi’s brother Christian have been torched in Kisanfu, Kolwezi.
Suspected artisanal miners who have consistently complained about the unfair and corrupt tendencies of President Tshisekedi, his family and the deputy Governor of Lualaba Fifi Masuka, are and the frustrated population are behind the destruction.
Owners of the machinery and their workers are waking up to the destruction of their property.
The population is now demanding to be heard by force after massive corruption was exposed under the leadership of Masuka who is backed by Tshisekedi.
The 30 Republican Guards who were stationed at the mine failed to control the angry mob that reacted angrily and set the machinery ablaze.
