Opposition Moïse Katumbi arrived in the capital Kinshasa last evening, May 3, 2023, to organize next week’s civil protest.
The protest is set for May 13 to highlight issues surrounding the chaotic organization of the election, the rising food shortages and increased cost of living.
In addition to his participation in the organization of the march, Katumbi will take advantage of his presence in Kinshasa to continue his tour in the west of the country.
This demonstrates his commitment to strengthening opposition unity and working closely with other leaders to define a common political strategy.
DRC will go to the polls on December 20, 2023 with Katumbi who leads Ensemble pour la République (Together for Change) and is favorite to unseat incumbent Felix Tshisekedi.
