Three officers of the Congolese National Police have been arrested and transferred to the military prosecutor’s office near Kolwezi, in the province of Lualaba.

The trio was nabbed Friday, May 26, 2023, by the Kolwezi military auditor, Major Joseph Ngamana.

According to him, they are arrested in connection with the case linked to the death of a local youth Michael Musole Ilunga.

“These are Ngole Adèle Adèle, High Commissioner, Major Ngandu Mwela Tony and Lieutenant Tambwe Kapita Tarcisse. They were arrested,” he said.

The death of Ilunga prompted riots in Kolwezi.
