President Félix Tshisekedi’s electoral coalition known as Sacred Union has broken down with factions between Haut-Katanga Governor Jacques Kyabula Katwe and his ministers emerging five months before elections.
The factions are trading bitter blows publicly and exposing each other’s corruption as if it were a bunch of a cursed generation.
On one end of the faction is the late Gabriel Kyungu wa Kumwanza’s UNAFEC and the ruling party
UDPS group rallying behind Kyabula.
UNAFEC youths have described Kyabula as a traitor within the coalition.
The opposition members have engaged in violent attacks with the house of Eric Muta set ablaze in Nkenya while billboards bearing Kyabula’s campaign message are also set on fire and destroyed.
It’s now a CURSED UNION, not Sacred Union.
