A video of a police officer who was saved from being beheaded in the Bandundu region has gone viral with authorities being urged to improve the security the people across the country.
According to eyewitnesses, a police officer attempted to intervene in an ongoing tribal conflict between the Teke speaking people and the Bayaka.
But the officer landed on the wrong side of the conflict and nearly lost his life through beheading.
The DRC has over 400 dialects and is home to nearly 100 million people.
Alert youths rescued the impoverished security officer and rashed him to the nearest health center.
