[VIDEO] BACK IN THE RACE: Fayulu Tells Huge Opposition Turn-out, “I’m Not Boycotting; We Are Demanding A Credible Voter’s Register”

Thousands of Kinshasa residents yesterday showed up for the opposition rally organized by Martin Fayulu, Moise Katumbi, Delly Sesanga and Augustin Matata Mapon at the Saint Theresa Fields.

Finally, the opposition managed to organize a meeting and address supporters without being disturbed but still enduring hurdles before securing the date.

Despite the hurdles which included a last minute forced change, the opposition parties Ensemble pour la République, Ecide, Envol and LGD would be happy to have pulled a huge turn out.

At the rally, Fayulu says he was still candidate in the 2023 presidential election but had serious misgivings about the entire process.

The 2018 winner who was dribbled out of victory told the jubilant crowd he was not boycotting the elections, but wants an electoral file audited by international experts.

“I would like to clarify here that we do not use the term ‘boycott’. We will go to the elections but not with a corrupt electoral file,” he explains.

Fayulu was the main speaker at the event joined by representatives of other political parties.
