A former minister in the Haut-Katanga government, Eric Muta, has had his house burnt down by agents suspected to have been assigned by Haut-Katanga Governor Jacques Kyabula Katwe.
Muta, a former minister of minerals who is believed to be in exile, has been critical of Kyabula.
The outspoken minister has accused Kyabula of pilfering minerals including the disappearance copper that was mined at Tenke Fungurume.
Residents of Nkenya in Lubumbashi staged a protest after the house was set on fire as some helped put off the fire.
