President Félix Tshisekedi’s officers on Saturday summoned soldiers to destroy former president Joseph Kabila’s residence in Gombe, Kinshasa.
According to sources, senior members of Tshisekedi’s team, abusing their positions, summoned soldiers to deal with a matter that should be under the discretion of the city council.
The dignitaries who acquired land adjacent to the residence of Kabila demanded that the property be demolished to create a road there.
The purpose of the road would be to facilitate access to their new properties located on the other side of Kabila’s residence.
A scene of confusion emerged as occupants at Kabila’s residence protested furiously thereby causing commotion in the area.
