Democratic Republic of Congo former rebel commander General John Tshibangu, a long-time mercenary & Tshisekedi supporter, has entered Zambia to abduct opposition leaders and take them back to be punished and possibly killed.
Gen. Tshibangu, a tribesmate of Tshisekedi, is carrying out the operation with the full cooperation of Zambian authorities, according to Congolese journalist Pero Luwara.
Political sources in the DRC allege that Zambia’s cooperation with Tshisekedi’s mercenaries is part of the terms agreed when the Congolese leader paid his Zambian counterpart $20 million to buy warn relations.
Gen. Tshibangu is accompanied by DEMIAP military operative and murderer Christian Ndaywel, the the head of military intelligence in DR Congo.
Ndaywel, a Belgian national, is under investigation for the murder of Ensemble pour la République spokesperson Chérubin Okende last year.
“They have been there for three days. According to my cameras, they are continuing their criminal mission, namely: kidnapping Congolese living in Zambia. Congolese, mostly holders of asylum papers, are kidnapped, tortured and transported to Kinshasa,” he tweeted.
“Some are murdered. Most of the kidnapped are Katangese that Helmut Ngeleka [Tshisekedi]
accuses of wanting to overthrow him.”
Gen. Tshibangu has been described as a flamboyant operator and serial defector who fought in several Rwandan and Uganda-backed rebellions in eastern Congo before joining Kabila’s government, by Africa Confidential.

He dumped Kabila in 2012 and attempted to overthrow him when he was still in power.
