An internal and confidential report by the national intelligence, ANR, has revealed that Ensemble pour la République spokesperson Chérubin Okende was murdered on orders issued by the Office of President Felix Tshisekedi.
According to the now widely circulated report seen by DRC NEWS TODAY, Okende was kidnapped by military personnel in the premises of the Constitutional Court and taken to DEMIAP where he was tortured.
On July 12, 2023 was captured in the parking lot of the Constitutional Court where he had been summoned by a judge in connection with a real estate property that was also eyed by a high ranking official of the presidential cabinet.
The presidential official, a relative of President Tshisekedi, wanted to acquire the same property Okende had.
To intimidate Okende, the presidential offical involved the military to deal with Okende.
Just as Okende was left alone in his Lexus vehicle, a military intelligence pick-up with six soldiers on board landed on the scene.
Two soldiers entered his 4×4 and forced the victim to drive away.
According to the account of the internal security of ANR which collaborates the version of an eyewitnesses published a few weeks ago, the soldiers drove away with Okende.
The report states that the vehicle owned by Okende was driven to a place where he was taken out of his car and thrust into a military vehicle that eventually took him into DEMIAP.
It was at DEMIAP where Okende was tortured, choked and potentially killed before his body was thrown back in his car and driven to a busy Kinshasa Highway.
Before departing the scene where Okende was dumped, two shots were fired in his car but by that time the Ensemble official had already expired.

As if the death of Okende was not enough, Tshisekedi ordered the killing of protestors in Goma.
Over 50 young people were mercilessly shot dead in Goma a few days for staging a peaceful protest.
