Provincial MP Homer Bulakuli has dumped President Fèlix Tshisekedi to endorse Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Denis Mukwenge’s candidature in the upcoming Presidential Elections slated for December this year.
Bulakali who serves as a Provincial MP in Bukavu, South Kivu Province and also a candidate in the legislative elections, has opted against supporting President Tshisekedi whom his party in Vital Kamerhe’s UNC has endorsed.
Bulakali has further described Tshisekedi’s leadership as one of failure and instead offers his support to Dr. Mukwenge.
Bulakali made his declaration at an event where Dr. Mukwenge received US$100,000 from supporters to be deposited for his candidacy for president.
“The time of escorting people suspected of cheating on their diplomas and even moral probability is over. Now is the time when we have to accompany those we know, those whom we are aware of their morals, diplomas and whose merits are recognized worldwide. We have Dr. Denis Mukwenge” Bulakali said in Bukavu on Saturday.
Bulakali said he and several other MPs in South Kivu were also backing Dr. Mukwenge for the presidency.
