Democratic Republic of Congo’s imposter President Félix Tshisekedi had contacted Congo River Alliance (AFC) and sent Jean-Bosco Bahala to negotiate with the rebel leader.
Tshisekedi’s former special representative at the East African Community (EAC) Serge Tshibangu has revealed that the weakened Congolese had initiated contact with Nangaa in a effort to persuade him to seize his continued advancement.
Tshibangu reveals that Tshisekedi had desired for his contacts with Nangaa to be discreet and was angered after information of his Bahala’s mission to Uganda where he was to meet the rebel leader on his behalf.
Tshisekedi has since ordered arrested Bahala now in custody and also suspended him from his role as the National coordinator for the Disarmament, Demobilization, Community Recovery and Stabilization Programme.
Tshibangu had hoped to lead the negotiations with Nangaa and was angered after Tshisekedi opted to go with Bahala instead.
