TREACHEROUS HICHILEMA: Zambian Authorities Arresting & Surrendering Congolese Political Asylum Seekers To Tshisekedi; The $20 Million Bribe At Work

Zambian authorities are conniving with their Democratic Republic of Congo counterparts to arrest and deport opposition leaders that are being hunted down by imposter president Felix Tshisekedi.

Sources have disclosed to DRC News Today that Tshisekedi is closely working with Zambia to eliminate any opposition leader that maybe seeking asylum in the neighboring country.

A member of Tshisekedi’s militia that operates within the ANR, General John Tshibangu, is one of the key operatives that has been frequenting Zambia for the operation.

Tshibangu, a Kasai like Tshisekedi, has also been seen frequenting Katanga and arresting young people suspected to be political activists.

Recent reports indicate that Tshisekedi paid President Hakainde Hichilema about $20 million in bribes to ensure he helped him curtail any form of dissent if it emerged from Zambia which shares over a stretch of 1000 kilometers border.

Congolese have described President Hichilema’s government as treacherous for failing to protect the rights of refugees when it has signed up to the UN Charter to do so.

“No DRC opposition leaders are welcome in Zambia anymore. They are being secretly arrested and secretly sent back when they try to seek asylum and that’s disappointing,” the sources said.

To further have a grip on his country, Tshisekedi who controversially came to power in 2018 and rigged his way back last year, is working hard to change the constitution to prolong his stay.

“On paper, the President of the Republic has five years, but in practice it is three years (…) we must review these provisions”, Augustin Kabuya, acting president of the ruling party, the UDPS, told a gathering on why the constitution must be revised.

However, Congolese are warning Tshisekedi against touching the constitution saying such moves will strongly be opposed as provinces such as Katanga, Kivu, Congo Central and Ituri have indicated they will breakaway from the rest of the country and declare independent states.

“If the president is not careful, he will only remain with the Kasai regions,” the sources warned.

Tshisekedi wants to extend his mandate to seven years a development that may plunge the copper rich nation that has never known peace since independence in 1960 into further chaos.
