THE ROBOT IS NO MORE: Emblematic Mazembe Fan Dies

Some sad news out of Lubumbashi.

TP Mazembe’s energetic and ever-present fan Muteba Maungezu Papy fondly known as “The Robot” has died after an illness.

Maungezu, the leader of the ardent 100% Animation Mazembe Supporters’ group, died this Thursday night at the University Clinic of Lubumbashi where he had been admitted.

An omnipresent figure at Mazembe matches, Maungezu was known for his dances virtually throughout the procession of a match clad in traditional attire.

Mazembe President Moïse Katumbi in the company of his spouse madam Carine paid a surprise visit to Maungezu in hospital last week.
