THE PEOPLE MUST DECIDE: Tshisekedi Admits Congolese Population Has Final Say on Dubious Constitution Revision Proposal

DR Congo’s impostor president Félix Tshisekedi has admitted that the final decision on his proposal to change the National Constitution lies with the Congolese people and not up to him.

Tshisekedi is facing pressure as the population continue reject his resolve to change the Constitution to adopt one that will allow him continue ruling the country after 2028 when his current and final term expires as stipulated.

Speaking during his visit to the town of Kalemie in Tanganyika Province on Tuesday, Tshisekedi could not stand and give cause to the crowd for his sudden and strong resolve to change the Constitution.

“When the time comes, the final word will be up to our people. Change the Constitution: You are a great people, you know what is good for you and what is not good,” Tshisekedi told the crowd at Sendwe Stadium.

Opposition political parties, civil society group as well as religious groups in the country have gathered to denounce Tshisekedi for attempting to temper with the national Constitution and turn the country into a dictatorship rule.
