President Felix Tshisekedi has ordered a Congolese media body to deal with journalist Patrick Lokala for criticizing the Constitution Court as an appendage of the Kasaï cable scheming to eliminate opposition leader Moise Katumbi from the presidential race.
Tshisekedi, who is holding another journalist Stanis Bujakera on allegation that he contributed an article which exposed the Congolese secret service, ANR, as kidnappers and assassins of Ensemble pour la République spokesperson Chérubin Okende, has grown increasingly insensitive with criticism of his mondus operandi to hold on power.
The Head of State has asked Christian Bosembe, leader of broadcasters agency CSAC to take action against Patrick Lokala.
This is after Lokala wrote, “Red alert! Kamuleta BADIBANGA President of the High Court and also a pastor, is preparing to destroy the unity of Congo for the benefit of his tribe. According to my sources, the Katangese are very upset after learning that KAMULETA BADIBANGA used his brothers NOEL TSHIANI AND TSHIVUADI to obtain
the invalidation of Moise Katumbi at the Constitutional Court for the benefit of their brother, a Kasaï in Félix TSHISEKEDI. An extremely dangerous misadventure for the country, especially since recent history reminds us of the community conflict between Kasaïs and Katangais caused several deaths. It is time for him to pull
himself together to avoid the breakup of a country, part of which is already occupied by the rebels (M23).”
Through an X account, formerly twitter, under the banner Benita “Tshisekedi Etat de Driot” and is managed by Presidential Palace operatives and issues statements aligned to the Presidency, Tshisekedi reacted alleging that Lokala’s work is defamatory.
“Mr @CBosembe and @csac_rdc please make useful arrangements towards the journalist @PatrickLokala_ who shines in defamatory publications of a tribal nature.
“If nothing is done, we will take our responsibilities to silence him once and for,” Benita Tshisekedi, on behalf of the Presidency, writes.
Lokala responded to the serious threats wondering if the Presidency was determined to silence him once and for all as it did with Okende.
He writes, “Urgent! Mrs. Benita Ntumba Tshisekedi promised to silence me permanently.
“I fear for life, I take public opinion as witness because I don’t know if they are going to do to me what they did to my brother Cherubin Okende who was invited to the constitutional court but he found himself at the morgue.”
All eyes are on Constitution Court president Kamuleta Badibanga and his men who are part of the Kasai cable that wants to keep the Presidency through Tshisekedi by eliminating Katumbi using a false nationality issue.
The matter to the Constitution Court against Katumbi has been brought by another Kasai Noel Tshiani. Tshiani was Tshisekedi’s agent in a failed attempt to introduce a nationality law that would have eliminated Katumbi from the race before filing his candidature through CENI, the Independent Electoral Commission.
