Former army commander now turned rebel General John Numbi says he has not been arrested by Congolese authorities in Zambia contrary to recent media reports in the DRC.
General Numbi has revealed that he currently safe and promised to continue on his path of liberating the nation from the dictatorial leadership of Félix Tshisekedi.
Journalist Pero Luwara spoke to General Numbi who assured the exiled reporter that he will soon be able to return to the DRC after ousting Tshisekedi
“I have just spoken at length with General John Numbi. So, I most categorically deny the rumor that he was arrested in Zambia. ’Pero, I’m doing very well, no one can stop me and very soon, I will call you myself so that you can return to your country when I have finished with this CRAZY Tshisekedi.’ Luwara wrote on X.
General Numbi has been linked to a group of several Congolese nationals who were arrested in Zambia last October where they had been plotting a destabilization mission against Tshisekedi and his government.
