DR Congo international defender Gédéon Kalulu put in an impressive performance to marshall the FC Lorient to a precious nil-nil draw against giants Paris Saint Germain on Saturday.
The match played at the Parc Des Princes in Paris, was the two side’s first of the campaign as the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season.
Kalulu was in the starting eleven for Lorient and lasted the entire duration of the match right-back and was instrumental in holding the star-studded PSG frontline.
Saturday’s result will come as a confidence booster for Régis Le Bris’ side as they look better their standing in Ligue 1 having finished 10th last season.
Up next for Kalulu and Lorient is a home fixture against OGC Nice on Sunday, 20 August at the Stade Yves Allainmat – Le Moustoir.
