DR Congo president Félix Tshisekedi’s incompetence towards the management of the country’s security is proven by his constant changes around the his security staff.
Tshisekedi has made his sixth blunder in the appointment of his security advisor after even as he watches the country’s security strength weaken every day.
On Wednesday, Tshisekedi appointed Eberande Kolongole as his new security advisor replacing Prof. Jean-Louis Esambo who was fired from his post after North Kivu region fell into the control of the AFC/M23 forces.
Kolongole is sixth security advisor appointed by Tshisekedi in past six years when he has overseen the country plunge into one of its worst security situations.
Tshisekedi has made clear blunders with his choice of staff having stoop so low as handing the security advisor role to his clueless old friend Bifort Biselele whom the president was forced to dismiss after he leaked his own obscene videos.
Aside the appointment of Biselele, Tshisekedi also made mistakes with the dismissals of François Beya and the recently fired Prof. Jean-Louis Esambo whose advices he could not heed to.
In 2022, François Beya was dismissed for daring to criticize Tshisekedi for being more concerned with his luxurious plessures rather than his duty.
Tshisekedi clearly prefers to replace men rather than learn lessons and If Beya had not taken out his opinion to heart, he would still be there to point out the incompetence.
