Rwanda President Paul Kagame says his country is prepared to face any form of attack the Félix Tshisekedi and Democratic Republic of Congo threatens against Kigali.
Tshisekedi and his government have recently issued a threat against Rwanda whom it accuses of aggression and perpetrating war in its eastern region of North Kivu.
However in a latest interview with France 24, President Kagame describes Tshisekedi as an “irrational leader” who has failed to secure lasting solution to an internal conflict and instead blames others for the crisis.
Kagame also reiterated Rwanda’s non-involvement in the ongoing insecurities in eastern DR Congo as well as his nation’s preparedness to defend itself from any form of attack.
However, Kagame also affirmed his willingness to sit on a round table with Tshisekedi for dialogue to foster peace between the two countries.
