Egyptian moneybags Pyramids FC moved swift to complete one of the biggest transfers on the continent as they brought on board Democratic Republic of Congo international striker Fiston Mayele Kalala from Tanzanian side Yanga SC.
Mayele who was last season’s top scorer in the CAF Confederation Cup, is now rated as one of the most expensive players in the Egyptian top-flight following the revelation of details of his transfer.
Sources have revealed that Pyramids had forked out a mammoth over US$790,000 to sign the 29-year old centre forward from Yanga.
Mayele has put pen to paper a three-year deal with Pyramids and is expected strengthen the club’s forward line ahead of the new CAF Champions League season.
