Access to transport has become a major problem in the DR Congo capital of Kinshasa as public transporter strike following government’s decision to hike fuel pump prices.
Movement using public is now almost impossible as observed this Monday, January 20, 2025 in Kinshasa where the bus and taxi drivers completely paralyzed an entire capital.
A few drivers have successfully commuted and transported passengers without having their vehicles stoned and damaged.
Kinshasa resident are now forced to pay 10 times more than the usuals transport fares to move with a taxi while many are forced walk long distances to reach their destinations.
