PROTESTING THE RWANDA AGGRESSION: Opposition Resort To The Street Noise Starting March 11

The Lamuka coalition has announced a protest against the presence of the East African Command regional force in the province of North Kivu throughout the national territory.

According to a statement, the protest is set for March 11.

“In view of the chaotic security situation in our country, LAMUKA calls on all Congolese to a march of patriotic resistance in the major cities of the country, on Saturday March 11,” the statement reads.

The resistance and protest march initiated by the leader of the ECIDé (Commitment for Citizenship and Development) Martin Fayulu, is part of denouncing and condemning the aggression of which the Democratic Republic of Congo is a victim.

Fayulu believes that neighboring countries including Rwanda are under cover of the M23.

Fayulu says he and his militants will also say no to the “complicity and incompetence” of the President Felix Tshisekedi in the management of this war in the East.

“LAMUKA denounces and condemns the complicity and incompetence of the power in place in the conduct of the war against Rwandan aggression,” he said.

LAMUKA has demanded the immediate withdrawal of EAC troops from the DR Congo. Thus, this political formation asks the United Nations and the African Union to remove the elements of the FDLR in the country.

Meanwhile, the security situation remains volatile in the eastern part of the DRC, marked by Rwandan aggression, under the helpless eye of EAC troops.
