POINT AWAY FROM HOME: Maniema Manage to Snatch Point Off Sloppy Sundowns

DR Congo’s second representatives in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League AS Maniema Union forced a barren draw away at favourites Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday.

Despite the Sundowns controlling majority of possession, Maniema held their own bravely to collect a point after some remarkable defensive display.

The draw in South Africa will serve as motivation for the Kindu-based outfit heading into the rest of their Group B fixtures.

Papy Kimoto’s charges will next face Moroccan giants Raja Athletic Club in Kinshasa in two weeks time.
