Former Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde has confirmed his support for imposter president Félix Tshisekedi and his proposal for the amendment of the Constitution.
Sama Lukonde and his Dynamique Agissons et Bâtissons (DAB) party have made this decision in order to put more on the main associates of the Sacred Union alliance in Vital Kamerhe, Jean-Pierre Bemba and Modeste Bahati Lukwebo who have remained silent on the topic.
At a meeting held last Sunday, November 24, 2024, the DAB party discussed the question relating to the change or revision of the constitution as desired by Tshisekedi to in order to continue his rule over the country forever.
Pushed into one corner with all eyes now these three key parties, Kamerhe, Bemba and Bahati are being forced to come out and state their stances on the Constitution revision proposal.
Tshisekedi’s Constitution revision proposal depends largely on the support of Kamerhe, who is the President of the National Assembly, and Bahati, the leader of the Senate, as well as Bemba in order to be successful.
The three leaders and their party retain ambitions of ascending to power after Tshisekedi and thus remain skeptical about supporting the latter’s proposal which could derail their plans if adopted.
