Former president Joseph Kabila political future is still undefined. Howeve, he remains a popular figure in the politics of country.

He is popular with the people of Kinshasa and commands good following elsewhere. He has accused President Felix Tshisekedi of a constitutional coup over the composition of CENI and the Constitutional Court.

His constituency in the FCC has stayed away from the 2023 electoral process. Others have sold out.

Nonetheless, he still returns popularity to make things move. On Sunday, he hosted his loyalists at the Kingakati residence.
