Félix Tshisekedi’s new Minister of Justice Constant Mutamba has once again made a blank statement by announcing the opening of a trial against rebel movement Congo River Alliance (AFC) Corneille Nangaa and the M23 rebels who have so far eluded the army and continue to gain more power and control in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The relevance-seeking Mutamba issued a statement stating that a nonsensical trial will be opened this Wednesday, July 24, before the Gombe Military Court against Nangaa who will continue his day-to-day operations and traversing the eastern region freely.
According Mutamba’s baseless statement, Nangaa will be tried in absentia for terrorist activities, war crimes and high treason committed in the eastern part of the country.
The Former president of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), Corneille Nangaa has become coordinator of a powerful political-military platform called “Alliance Fleuve Congo” (Congo River Alliance), which operates alongside M23 terrorists in the eastern part of the DR Congo, particularly in North Kivu Province.
