NO RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS: NGOs Call Out Tshisekedi For Encouraging Crime Against Humanity

Human Rights Non-Governmental Organizations in the Democratic Republic of Congo have cited President Fèlix Tshisekedi for championing crime against humanity in the country.

The Human Rights NGOs in the DR Congo have accused the President Tshisekedi, who has been dubbed as an uprising African dictator, of instructing police to violate human rights ahead of the December slated Presidential Polls.

In reacting to Tshisekedi’s speech at Bishop Bernard Kasanda’s Jubilee mass during his visit of Mbuji-Mayi last Sunday, the NGOs expressed displeasure over the Head of State’s sentiments to seemingly back ongoing illegal acts that include unwarranted arrests and kidnappings.

“There is no more doubt about who the principal mastermind of the abuses against people and property” the NGOs refer to Tshisekedi in their statement.

The NGOs revealed that they had concluded that President Tshisekedi had been the mastermind of the ongoing violations of human rights in the country after he hinted he would personally lead out an attack against anyone that would emerge as a threat to his rule.

President Tshisekedi said on Sunday: “I will without hesitation attack, without remorse any Congolese who would endanger the security and stability of our country, no matter what they say: violation of human rights, deprivation of freedom that even I have no lesson to take from.”

The NGOs have since interpreted Tshisekedi’s comment as an indirect way to encourage perpetrations of crime against innocent civilians with opinions against his regime.

In their statement, the NGOs also claim that they were of the opinion that the President’s declaration had been in contrast with the principles of rule of law.
