Former DR Congo international and TP Mazembe legendary midfielder Tresor Mputu has been handed a new role as a scout at the club following his retirement from active football.
Mputu hang his boots in February 2023 after a glittering career spanning well over 23 years.
The 2009 African Player of the Year Based on the Continent has since settled into a role at the Kamalondo side as part of the Ravens’ player recruitment department.
Mputu has exclusively confirmed to ActuRDC his new role at the club and having gotten down to work.
With the club having struggled to build a squad to consistently and favourably compete on the continent, Mputu and his colleagues have since been tasked with the responsibility of assembling a competitive team ahead of the inaugural CAF Super League.
Mazembe are understood to be on the verge of undertaking a mass overhaul of their squad as they look to rekindle their fortunes and pedigree on the African continent.
