The new AFC/M23 politico-military coalition state of North Kivu has appointed new heads of the provincial governorate as it continues to set up its arms of government in the region.
In a press statement issued yesterday, the leadership of the AFC/M23 movement announced the appointment of the new governor and his two deputy governors as well as the mayor of provincial capital city of Goma city.
The new Governor of North Kivu Province is Mr. Bahati Musanga Joseph with the first Deputy Governor being Mr. Manzi Ngarambe Willy who will be in charge of political, administrative and legal affairs.

The second Deputy Governor appointed is Mr. Amani Bahati Shaddrak and he will be in charge of Economic, Financial and Development Affairs.
The new leaders have since taken over offices previously occupied by the Tshisekedi regime’s officials before the AFC/M23 took control of the province.
