Democratic Republic of Congo’s music icon Koffi Olomide has expressed deep concern over the government laxity and complicity to dealing with the aggression against its people in the eastern region of North Kivu.
In a recent interview, Koffi Olomide stressed that the situation in the east cannot be termed as a war because there is no exchange of attacks with Congo been the only side on the receiving end of daily attacks while authorities seat back.
“They do what they want to us, there is no one to stop them, There is no war. We are beaten, we are slapped!” he said.
Koffi Olomide said he hoped the coming of a new Minister of Defence to replace the failed Jean-Pierre Bemba, will bring some hope to the Congolese population.
