Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Ukraine are set to launch a new military cooperation aimed at finding solutions to settle the security situation that the two nations are facing.
Deputy Minister of Defence Jean-Pierre Bemba and Ukraine’s special envoy of the Ukrainian Minister of the Foreign Affairs and Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Maksym Subkh met in Kinshasa on Wednesday where they discussed this new cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, held at the Jean-Pierre Bemba’s office, was focused on the prospects for future military and technical cooperation between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ukraine.
The exchanges between the two personalities took place just a few hours before the inauguration of the new Ukrainian embassy in the Congolese capital.
This marks a decisive turning point in the bilateral relations between the two nations who plan to forge closer ties, particularly in the areas of defense and technology.
