Democratic Republic of Congo national team head coach Sebastien Desabre has assembled his squad for next month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.
The Leopards are set to face the Crocodiles of Sudan in their final Group I qualification encounter on September 9 at the Pentecost Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa.
The French tactician has since announced a strong 27-man squad for confrontation with captain and Olympique Marseille defence kingpin Chancel Mbemba leading the pack.
Galatasaray star Cedric Bakambu has also been recalled after missing out last time out against Gabon due to suspension.
The DRC are 2nd in Group I, level on points with Gabon (7 points). They will need to win to validate their ticket for Côte d’Ivoire. The Leopards play another match against South Africa on September 12.
