DR Congo’s extravagant president Félix Tshisekedi has arrived in Switzerland as he returns on his luxurious European leisurely tour.
Earlier this month, Tshisekedi had to briefly cut short his European tour to attend Ghanaian President John Mahama’s inauguration ceremony before returning home.
His return home was an emergency after tensions rose in the eastern region of the country.
Tshisekedi has now arrived in Switzerland today and will attend the 55th edition of the World Economic Forum, which is being held from January 20 to 24 in Davos.
The forum is mainly meant to attract attendances of business leaders, academics and non-governmental organizations to discuss key global and regional challenges other than presidents.
After Switzerland, Tshisekedi will next fly to Brussels, Belgium for his medical review having underwent surgery last year.
