The city of Kinshasa’s central business was shaken on Sunday afternoon as commotion grew when three civilian men rescued a woman from being mugged by an army personnel.
An armed soldier from the loyalist Congo army (FARDC) was arrest by civilians while in his inebriated state after his encounter with a defenseless woman.
The woman was rescued from the hands of the soldier, still to be identified by authorities, by three male passerbys who handcuffed him while the woman retrieved the army-man’s firearm.
The woman has been pictured pointing the gun at the soldier while he was being handcuffed by the civilians before being taken to the police.
Authorities are yet to issue a statement over the incident with the identities of the involved people also still unknown.
