DR Congo champions TP Mazembe conceded late to succumb to a 2-1 defeat away to Sudanese giants Al Hilal SC on Sunday night in the CAF Champions League.
The match was played at the Stade de la Capitale in Nouakchott, Mauritania were Al Hilal have resided due to hostilities in Sudan.
The hosts took the lead in the 22nd minute through captain Mohamed Abdelrahman Yagoub who converted from the spot.
Mazembe prodigy and Congo’s best uprising talents Oscar Kabwit got the equalizer for the Ravens in the 64th minute with a well taken finish.
However, Mazembe could not hold on and conceded once again deep into regulation time through Jean Claude Girumugisha to propel Florent Ibenge’s side to victory.
The Ravens remain 3rd in Group A with just a point after two matches played so far and will next face Tanzanian giants Yanga SC next week.
