KATUMBI WARNS: Our Anger Will Grow If Justice Fails As Armed Militia Invade Katanga Killing 10 Church Members

Democratic Republic of Congo opposition leader Moise Katumbi has issued a strong statement after 10 people were masscred in Kilwa, Haut Katanga by armed men that have invaded the southeast part of the country.

Katumbi has demanded that the Congolese government takes measures to protect the population from insurgents.

Insecurity is growing in the DRC since imposter Felix Tshisekedi won a fraudulent election in December 2023 with armed militia spreading across the country.

“Life has lost all value in the DRC,” Katumbi posted on his X platform.

“This Thursday, August 15, 2024 in Kilwa, about ten people returning from a prayer meeting and others present on site, including a student, were massacred.

“Once again, innocent people have just been savagely slaughtered by armed men. Their only “crime” was to walk while singing.

“I offer my most saddened condolences to the families of the victims.

“Enough is enough! Yesterday, it was [opposition youths] Junafec in Kilobelobe, the followers of Wazalendo in Goma, and today it was the faithful of the Mbidi Church in Kilwa. The tragic common trait to all these atrocities is that each of these victims was unarmed. All these young people had faith in life and aspired to a better future.

“The Democratic Republic of Congo is transforming itself more and more into a wild state, where neither law, nor rules, nor justice prevail.

“Criminal acts today seem to be covered by an incomprehensible and unacceptable impunity. If justice is not done, our anger will only grow.”

As things stand, the DRC is faced with insecurity in the east, west and southeastern parts.
