An historic milestone for the future development of the province of North Kivu in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been launched.
The AFC-M23 movement has officially launched the construction of the Sake–Masisi road, an essential step toward transforming North Kivu’s infrastructure and empowering its people.
For decades, the province of North Kivu had been neglected by previous leaderships and the current government of Félix Tshisekedi in turn abandoned the province with no roads, development, or basic services.
But those days are ending after the AFC-M23 movement heard the cries of the people, and responded—not with words, but with action.

After successfully delivering clean water across the city of Goma, surpassing even the current demand, and ensuring 24-hour electricity throughout the city, the AFC-M23 movement now takes another bold step to transform the province’s infrastructure.
