DR Congo’s national broadcasting network RTNC journalist Jemimah-Diane Mogwo has died after she was attacked by bandits commonly known as the Kuluna boys.
Mogwo was attacked by the Kuluna at the Camp Kokolo home in Kinshasa, the DRC capital.
She was rushed to hospital and forcibly discharged to get back work and died on her way home after presenting the 11:00 p.m. television news.
Mogwo and family had been advised by doctors for her to be evacuated abroad for proper medical attention but saw her request denied by RTNC Director General Sylvie Elenge.
DG Elenge is said to have been acting under the instructions of the heartless Minister of Communications and Media Patrick Muyaya who had also refused to sign the document for her evacuation.
After Mogwo’s death, the devilish Muyaya and Elenge were the first to show up at the hospital as if to spite the grieving family.
