Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) corrupt leader Félix Tshisekedi has dismissed Inspectorate General of Finances (IGF) Jules Alingete Key from his post as Head of Department at the auditing board.
Alingete is known for having played a key role in uncovering several financial scams and embezzlement of public funds by officials in the Tshisekedi regime.
On Wednesday, Tshisekedi issued a presidential order on the Congolese national television (RTNC) to announce that Alingete will be replaced at the head of the IGF.
Tshisekedi has replaced Alingete with Christophe Bitasimwa Bahii who is a close associate of the current government and has held several positions in government departments, businesses, and public institutions.
The IGF is a body mandated with overseeing and auditing public finances and acts as a senior inspectorate corps, ensuring the proper management and utilization of public funds.
