Democratic Republic of Congo President Félix Tshisekedi’s younger brother, Etienne Mumba, is nursing wounds at a private hospital in neighbouring Zambia after he was assaulted during a fight at a nightclub.
Etienne is said to have been involved in a brawl with his Congolese friend and business associate Aleko Kitenge who was outraged after learning of the former’s secret relationship with his wife.
Hell broke loose at Lusaka’s at Lusaka’s Soho Lounge when Kitenge stormed the premises and found Tshisekedi snuggling with his wife while taking mouthfuls of expensive wines and liquors.
Etienne was left injured and was quickly rushed to a private hospital in the Zambian capital while Kitenge fled the scene.
Kitenge was later arrest near the Kasumbalesa border as he attempted to return to the DR Congo.
Etienne whom his brother Felix has entrusted artisanal mining concessions in Lualaba Province, frequently visits Zambia where he lavishly spends his weekends at expensive nightclubs.
