EUPHORIC: Matata, Opposition Common Candidate Partner, Outshines Tshisekedi In Crowd Formation In Kindu

Opposition common candidate Moïse Katumbi’s ally, Augustin Matata Mapon, threw a massive crowd in the town Kindu in Maniema Province on Saturday, a territory where people shunned incumbent Fèlix Tshisekedi’s presence.

Matata Ponyo made a grand arrival in Kindu on Saturday and was welcomed by thousands of locals as he began his campaign for the opposition candidate President Katumbi in the territory.

Throngs of people turned up at the rally where Matata Ponyo reassured the population of Katumbi and the opposition coalition’s committment to rectifying various challenges arising from a mismanaged economy by the Tshisekedi regime.

Matata’s massively attended rally came barely three days after incumbent President Tshisekedi was vehemently rejected by Kindu residents who disrupted his scheduled meeting in protest owing to the several failures by his government.

Katumbi and the opposition coalition continue to flex their popularity ahead of Tshisekedi who has had a torrid time to campaign for his re-election.
