Democratic Republic of Congo’s corrupt Minister of Finance Nicolas Kazadi has been summoned to appeared before the General Prosecutor’s office at the Court of Cassation in connection with the case of fraud involving the borehole drilling projects at an exorbitant cost.
On Friday, Kazadi was issued with an emergency summon from the Court of Cassation to provide the judicial investigators with supporting documents as well as important information related to the setting of prices for the borehole drilling projects.
This in a case in which Kazadi approved the project of drilling of 1000 boreholes across the DR Congo at an unbelievable cost of US$400,000 million which the Kasai Finance Minister approved and paid out.
Kazadi has recently admitted to having signed the approval and payment for the project which has not been half-way completed after two years.
