DRC 2023 ELECTIONS: SADC Team Meets Kabila’s Coalition; FCC Insist Pres. Tshisekedi Is Preparing A Chaotic Election

Former president Joseph Kabila’s political coalition commonly known as FCC has insisted that the manner in which President Félix Tshisekedi’s CENI is organizing the 2023 presidential election is a recipe for anarchy.

The coalition, which has boycotted the election citing irregularities, has submitted to the SADC delegation that the whole electoral structure is steeped in tribalism to help President Tshisekedi retain power unjustly.

Both the Constitutional Court and the the Electoral Commission are led by Kasaïs, Tshisekedi’s tribesmates.

Kabila’s team opposed the composition of CENI and the Constitutional Court citing irregularities.

The issue of the electoral process was also at the center of their discussion with the FCC reminding SADC that Tshisekedi’s stubbornness to meet on a round table with the opposition will plunge the country into untold chaos.

Meanwhile, opposition leader Martin Fayulu has warned CENI president Denis Kadima not to set the country ablaze.

“The #CENI has no other choice than to respect article 6 paragraph 2 of the electoral law which stipulates that: “The
CENI publishes, by voting center, the provisional list of voters with indication of the polling station. “Any other formula
which would consist of providing
fragmented information to voters is an unacceptable and a violation of the law. We are therefore getting closer to the truth,” he said.
