DESABRE’S CAUTIOUS APPROACH: DRC On The Verge Of Qualification

Coach Sébastien Desabre has cautioned his players against early celebrations as an Africa Cup of Nations spot beckons ahead of tonight’s fixture against Tanzania .

A win in Tanzania or even a draw depending on the result in the other Group H match will send the Leopards to Morocco.

But Desabre wants his players to put in their best and told them not to take things for granted

“We have not qualified yet, so we’re going to play tomorrow to qualify after the game, that’s our first objective,” he said during a pre-match press briefing.

The DRC have a 100% record after three matches and could confirm qualification with two matches to spare.

DR Congo has nine points while Tanzania is on 4 points with Guinea having only amassed three points and Ethiopia is bottom on a single point.

Guinea faces Ethiopia in a bottom-of-the-table clash, with both teams desperate for a win to revive their chances.
