President Félix Tshisekedi is shivering and scared of information that there’s imminent war in Congo with the possibility of dethroning him through military action.
The Head of State summoned senior DRC Army officers and their juniors to a luncheon to win their confidence.
This was after former army commander in Joseph Kabila’s regime sent warning shots about chaos if Tshisekedi does not leave office on December 20, 2023.
Tshisekedi has told the soldiers not to betray the country.
“You are not just anyone, you are
the bearers of this nation, you give your life to save this country. Always stay true to your mission. The government will do everything possible to honor you during and after your career,” Tshisekedi to general and senior officers, as well as FARDC non-commissioned officers during a corporate meal.
